Bayer Environmental Science, a Business Unit of Bayer Crop Science has announced that Broadform® fungicide (fluopyram, trifloxystrobin) is now registered and available for use on greenhouse- and nursery-grown ornamentals in California for foliar disease control of key pathogens including Botrytis, leaf spot and dieback diseases.
“We are excited to finally bring this disease management tool to growers in California,” said John Wendorf, customer marketing manager for Bayer Lawn and Ornamentals. “With Broadform fungicide, these growers now have access to a strong rotational fungicide for protection from Botrytis and other key pathogens when conditions are ideal for disease development.”
With both knockdown and long-lasting residual protection, Broadform fungicide controls more than 50 pathogens on greenhouse- and nursery-grown ornamentals, including fruits, nuts and Christmas trees.
Other benefits of using Broadform fungicide include:
• Unique chemical structure of fluopyram differentiates it from other SDHI solutions on the market
• Two modes of action control more than 50 pathogens
• Helps prevent dieback and tip blight diseases
• Systemic movement into flower bud tissue
