17 agriculture entrepreneurs present projects in New Delhi

A total of 17 successful agriculture-related entrepreneurs from Punjab made presentations under Uddam and Uddan programmes of the Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI) at Bhartiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, New Delhi, on March 4.
The 17 entrepreneurs presented their projects before the CIC committee. All projects were related to food science and technology, beekeeping, bakery products, millet production, micro greens and farm machinery.
During the meeting, the committee urged the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare for releasing grants worth Rs 8 lakh to Rs 22 lakh for the entrepreneurs.
The committee comprised Ashok Kumar Singh, director, Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI); Indira Mani, head, Agricultural Engineering, IARI; Charanjit Kaur, principal scientist, IARI; Akriti Sharma, scientist at IARI; Rajneeh Kumar, COO, Pusa Krishi Incubator; and big entrepreneurs and bankers.
