Date:02-21-2020
The international private equity entities KKR , PAI Partners and The Carlyle Group have expressed interest in the acquisition of Rovensa (formerly Sapec Agro), owned by the private equity firm Bridgepoint .
The operation could be between €700 and €800 million. Other firms that would have expressed interest are Permira, CVC, Blackstone, Cinven, Eurazeo or Partners Group, and the participation of some industrial investors is not ruled out.
With this operation, the company would have sufficient financing to carry out its international expansion plan and the development of new products in the agribusiness sector.
Bridgepoint's entry into the former Sapec Agro Business took place in early 2017 with a disbursement of €456 million. Since the entrance of the private equity firm, the company has grown into an international reference group that sells its products to more than 80 countries.
HSBC and Uría Menéndez, firms in charge of the operation, are finishing the project design.
