Syngenta opens second store in Brazil to create more value for entire agricultural production chain
Date:02-06-2020
Syngenta opened its second store in Santa Maria (RS) last Thursday, January 30. Santa Maria was chosen to establish the new Atua Agro as it is a region of great agricultural importance, with potential to expand commercial coverage. The main objective of the space is that it will be used to deepen the understanding of the local farmers’ needs and improve the offer over time.
Like the store in Ijuí (RS), in operation since September 2019, Atua Agro in Santa Maria will be an advanced point for the modernization of the regional agribusiness. According to André Savino, Syngenta's Marketing Director in Brazil, the initiative does not change Syngenta's strategy of strengthening and investing in distribution partners. “Quite the contrary, we continue to reward the high reciprocity and fidelity of our distribution network. The purpose of our own stores is to join forces, further qualifying the service to local producers and, thus, bringing the best agricultural practices to our partners throughout Brazil,” he pointed out.
Knowledge production
The executive explained that the model store will act as a producer and disseminator of knowledge, as well as technical and market information. For this, it has a broad structure, ready to receive and promote lectures, events and exchange experiences with farmers. "More than profitability in the field, Atua Agro aims to create an innovative environment for the segment chain, delivering the best services, technologies and service model," he said.
The space will have a complete portfolio, with the sale of pesticides (Syngenta and Adama), seeds (Syngenta and Nidera), foliar fertilizers and other fertilizers, through a partnership with Stoller, Mosaic, Cofco and Yara. In addition, Strider and FarmShots will offer digital technology and management services to the field.
“The idea is to generate more value for the entire agricultural production chain. By working more closely with the producer, we will be able to contribute with financial, digital and agronomic solutions, which will help throughout the productive journey,” said Luciano Daher, Syngenta's Commercial Director.
