Agricultural firm Alltech to establish analytics lab in India

Alltech, a worldwide innovator in animal nutrition, will set up an Analytical Services Laboratory in India, Mark Lyons, president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said.
It will be the third lab outside the US for the Kentucky-headquartered organization and will be situated in Pune, where Alltech opened its organic trace mineral assembling plant, with a production limit of 25,000 tons for each annum in October 2018.
The Analytical Services Lab will be the most advanced office and have a noteworthy role in overall testing and quality aspects, Mark Lyons told BusinessLine in Hyderabad, where he was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Poultry Association.
Alltech India began activities in 2001 in Bengaluru and serves poultry, dairy and aqua feed plants and farmers to improve their proficiency and benefit. “India activities will be developed quickly in the coming years with conceivable enhancement into aquaculture, fermenting and other related needs of the developing dairy and poultry farmers and sustainability”, Mark said.
Alltech, with incomes of over $3 billion is expanded into crop science, beverages and sustainability issues as well. The organization is working to grow itself in South Asia, while it has noteworthy presence in America’s and Europe with almost 20 acquisitions done in the last 5-6 years, Mark said.
At present, Alltech has Labs in US, China and the third set up for Europe in Ireland a year ago. The emphasis is on helping farmers and yield producers in the identification and management of the dangers related with mycotoxins, which are a significant risk in farm produce.
