At an event promoted by Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), Biovalens launched Bio-Immune (
Bacillus subtilis BV-02).
Bio-Immune is a fungicide and biological bactericide that acts on the aerial part of plants, protecting them completely, stimulating their growth and improving their health and quality.
According to the manufacturer, a branch of the Vittia Group, Bio-Immune has a broad spectrum of action and should be applied through foliar spraying. The features of the product are:
- Super-concentrated formulation (3 × 109 CFU/ml)
- Contains substances that tonify plants (metabolites)
- Inhibits the penetration of pathogens that cause stains and rot
- Protects the plant against diseases and ensures the quality of fruits
- Application flexibility and zero grace
Bio-Immune is suitable for use on all cultures during the occurrence of biological targets, such as Alternaria solani (early blight), Hemilea vastatrix (coffee rust), Uncinula necator (powdery mildew), and Xanthomonas vesicatoria (bacterial spot).
Biovalens explained that Bio-Immune activates the plant's resistance genes, generates toning substances, eliminates pathogen space, prevents the germination of disease-causing fungi and bacteria, inhibits pathogens from feeding, and facilitates the creation of lipopetides that destroy the cell wall of fungi and bacteria, leading them to their death.
The product was presented for the first time at “FrutOrgânica - Course on Tropical Fruit Production in Organic System,” held for the fifth consecutive year by Embrapa. The event aims to train technicians and producers interested in the organic cultivation of fruit trees. Biovalens’ products have the IBD Seal, a certification that approves the use of the company's biodefensives as inputs in the production of organic foods sold in national and international markets.
“We are very excited to participate in this event and present our products, which are effective against various pests and diseases and are ideal for use on various crops, such as organic fruits, vegetables, coffee and sugarcane, while maintaining the sustainability of the production environment and food quality,”explained Henrique Ferro, Director of R&D at Biovalens.
To ensure higher quality biological products, Biovalens has a cold logistics method for the transportation and storage of biological products with containers and refrigerators, which are installed in distributors and refrigerated vans and trucks for proper transportation, ensuring better performance and conditions for customers.
At FrutOrgânica, Biovalens also presented its biological control line registered for sale in the market, which are the insecticides and acaricides, Bovéria-Turbo, BT-Turbo Max and Meta-Turbo SC, Bio-immune and Tricho-Turbo, and the fungicides and bactericides, Biobaci and nematicides No-Nema.
