Changes at the top for BASF's Agricultural solutions division

New appointments for BASF's Agricultural solutions division : starting from September 1, Alberto Ancora assumed responsibility for the sub-region Emea South and Eric Bas succeeded him as country manager for Italy. The role of Alberto Ancora grows within the new EMEA organization of the BASF Agricultural solutions division. After 7 years at the helm of the Italian structure and of the Southern Europe area, he assumed the role of vice president of the new sub-region Emea South which includes in addition to the countries of the Mediterranean area - Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel - also Turkey, Iran, Africa and the Middle East.

 

At the same time, Eric Bas succeeds Alberto Ancora as the new country manager of the Agricultural solutions division for Italy. 40 years old, from Argentina, he has gained solid experience in the sector holding international positions in both marketing and sales. In the new role Bas, strong of the solid approach marked by his predecessor, will lead the team towards new market challenges and opportunities , with the aim of responding better to the needs of Italian distributors and farmers.

 

Eric Bas has a degree in industrial engineering from the Universidad nacional de Rosario (Santa Fe) with an MBA from Iae business school of the Universidad Austral of Buenos Aires. For 15 years at BASF, of which the last 10 in the Agricultural solutions division, Bas has held positions of increasing responsibility : he was senior key account manager for crop protectionproducts and seeds for Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia and global marketing manager for the insecticide segment . He has been in Italy since 2018, where before his current position he was head of marketing Italy.
