China to set MRLs for 82 pesticides

The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture is seeking public comment for a draft issued on pesticide Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) on 6th Dec, 2010, which will set 194 limits for 82 pesticides in agricultural products and food.
The pesticide residual has prevailed in China’s agricutural products, as MOA’s encouragement of nuisance-free products, this draft will cover 82 pesticides in various kinds of agrircutrual products including chinese cabbage, mushroom, cabbage, cucumber, maize, leechee, apple,and tangerine etc.
The capped pesticides are:
abamectin, difenoconazole, mefenacet, pyraclostrobin, bensulfuron-methyl, flumioxazin, propineb, profenofos, glufosinate-ammonium, benazolin-ethyl, chlorfenapyr, pyridaben, amobam, metiram, mancozeb, zineb, hydrogen cyanamide,cyanamide, fenoxanil,
