Date:09-09-2019
LIDA Plant Research launches new ECOTHRIN® insecticide, which has a microencapsulated formulation that provides greater persistence and control against insects. It is an organic insecticide registered for numerous pests, including the Tuta absoluta.
Unique product in the market for the control of Tuta absoluta
This new insecticide stands out for being the only product on the market against Tuta absoluta in tomatoes and eggplant, but it is also registered against other pests, such as aphids, whitefly, thrips and potato beetle.
ECOTHRIN® is highly efficient and has a greater impact on pests with a lower dose per surface. It also has a low level of degradation by light and high temperatures, which translates into a greater persistence of effects. Moreover, it also has a repellent effect for pests.
ECOTHRIN®, suitable for organic crops
Given the origin of its active material and its formulation, ECOTHRIN® is authorized for use in organic crops.
The objective of LIDA Plant Research is to become a global leader in the new vision offered by science in terms of crop protection, which will undoubtedly change the landscape and the way of doing agriculture in the coming years.
In addition to ECOTHRIN®, LIDA Plant Research has also introduced ACARIDOIL® to its range of phytosanitary products; another new organic acaricide-insecticide registered to tackle numerous pests, such as mites, Tuta absoluta, whitefly, aphids and many others.
