UPL launches glufosinate-based herbicide at 12th Brazilian Cotton Congress
Date:08-29-2019
UPL will launch a new herbicide during the 12th edition of the Brazilian Cotton Congress, which will take place between August 27 and 29, in Goiânia. The new product, Trunfo, has glufosinate as its active ingredient.
“We are increasingly investing in our portfolio, which is already one of the most robust in the market. Trunfo herbicide is the most concentrated in this category, with 280 grams of glufosinate per liter,” explained Rafael Borba, tactical marketing manager for UPL Brasil's extensive crops in the Cerrado Norte.
“The high concentration of the active ingredient helps decrease the amount of packaging transported to the field. This facilitates the logistics of farmers and provides increased productivity with sustainability and respect for the environment,” emphasized Borba.
This year, UPL will be present at the Brazilian Cotton Congress for the third consecutive time. "The congress is the best forum to announce new solutions for growing cotton," said the manager. “With the acquisition of Arysta LifeScience, UPL has brought even more power and delivery power to customers.”
The Brazilian Cotton Congress is sponsored by the Brazilian Cotton Producers Association (Abrapa), with support from the Brazilian Cotton Institute and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). This year, some 18,000 people are expected to attend the event.
