LS Tractor has launched its latest innovation, the “XAIRCRAFT” drone, at Expointer 2019, which is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with an integrated infrared sensor and navigation system, which is capable of conducting high precision agricultural operations, even at night, including agrochemical spraying.
“This drone maximizes flight time during the working day,” said André Rorato, Vice President of LS Mtron Brazil, adding that XAIRCRAFT features the “LS Tractor Technology DNA,” represented by the “CLOUD RTK” technology that uses a drone data system to send information to the cloud, via its antenna without using the internet.
According to Rorato, XAIRCRAFT features advanced industrial design and modular construction and is made of carbon fiber and aluminum alloy, offering excellent operational performance. It is also dust and water-resistant and offers innovative services for use on various types of crops, with a take-off capacity of 25 kilos. “LS provides farmers with a new technological option, presenting the future of agricultural mechanization in Brazil,” he added.
According to LS Tractor, the new product has arrived in Brazil for testing, to ensure compliance to the Brazilian market. “We will assess field requirements and management demands,” said Astor Kilpp, Marketing and Product Manager.
The company also pointed out that the equipment utilizes "dynamic spraying technology," through a high-pressure atomizing nozzle that gives it a longer range and enables it to produce tiny atomized droplets. The drone's propellers are designed to cut through plants and perform assertive spraying.
South Korean manufacturers also showcased the “XCOPE Navigation Technology,” which can travel close to plants to precisely apply pesticides.
“LS Tractor is enhancing its reputation due to its effective technologies, especially its medium and low-lowered tractors. And now, after the launch of the drone, it will gain greater technological prominence in the Brazilian agribusiness sector,” Rorato said in conclusion.
AgroPages attended the event and distributed its latest magazine, titled, “
