Agro100 prepares for future and builds bridges for new generation farmers in Brazil

Agrolideres is one of the main programs that Agro100 offers its customers, and in my opinion, is a unique program that connects Agro100 with generations of new farmers. Since Agro100 has set its focus on the new generation in the field, it is confident of connecting with the future of agribusiness. Replacing a generation of successful farmers that made Brazil one of the main players in the agribusiness sector is the main challenge for the new generation.
We need to conduct an exercise to connect with deeply rooted values and paradigms, which go beyond a not so distant past where parents would take their children off the farm, to study in the city and become someone in life, away from the hard life in the countryside, or by the youngsters' view that working with their parents is not an easy task, which is made worse by thinking of agriculture as an activity involving hard work, under the sun, sweating and picking up a hoe.
None of this is part of the current scenario. Today, we have young people who are starting to see the family farm as a big business, which needs to be well managed, just like an industry or a business in the city. There is no room for luck, even if the weather insists on dictating the rules of the game. But technology each year anticipates problems and being connected to information has become the main working tool in the field.
On the other hand, parents begin to look at their children as the real successors, giving them access to knowledge and bringing them closer for a two-way walk where both have much to learn.
The program has also brought about unexpected results. Groups have formed a network of friends who help each other and communicate with each other, and even relationships, and especially a spectacular performance of young women from Agro100. They come to participate focused, tuned and very articulate, adding their playfulness while dealing with teams.
Starting the program by traveling to the United States opens up a world of opportunities for those who want to learn. Knowing production techniques and alternatives in a country that has greater challenges than ours when it comes to production and yet manages to be the world's largest grain producer, gives us extra energy to come back with “blood in the eye” to do better.
At Agro100, the program was born in a very natural way, as it was the extension of what its founding partners built over the years with their children, as well as being fully adherent to its main value: to gain the trust of customers.
By bringing new generations closer, Agro100 builds bridges, trusting relationships that can contribute to the growth of farmers and strengthen the bonds between the company and their families, associated, of course, with the provision of quality services that, in fact, represent value to customers.
Now, I would like our technology providers in China and other countries to come to Brazil and learn that this new generation is one with a new vision about conciliate technology and sustainability, and one that will work hard to retain Brazil as one of the protagonists in the global agribusiness scenario.
