AgroPages exclusively interviewed Éder Moraes, Technical Manager of Santa Clara Agrociência, during the 5th International Santa Clara Conference held this month in São Paulo. He talked about new application technologies used to optimize spraying and avoid drift offered by the company.
What solutions were launched by Santa Clara to optimize spraying and avoid drift?
Santa Clara currently offers a complete line of application products that address routine issues, such as drift, incompatibility, slurry problems, foam problems, and compound solubility. An example of such issues is improving the fluidity of mancozeb and crop coverage. Today, we need to improve coverage, mainly in terms of herbicides, but also with fungicides and insecticides that depend on better coverage for better effectiveness.
What technologies were presented during the 5th International Santa Clara Conference?
Our pavilion was set up to highlight the characteristics of five products. One is Silox (Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Molybdenum), which has a drift dissolving power that achieves jet improvement, jet formation and spray jet. We also have Silox Ultra, which promotes foam reduction, and Silox Balance, which is a pH compatibilizer that improves the visual aspect of slurry, as well as Silox Slim, which is a supraspalmer. Our team also explained the proper ways of using our products.
How important are these products to farmers, and how will they translate to benefits?
Firstly, these technologies will help reduce costs and improve the operational performance of rural producers. It will also save time by making applications, reducing stopping time, and improving the effectiveness of active ingredients, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. Both our organic and mancozeb products will improve fluidity, so there will be less retention in the spray filter, increases operating efficiency.
Santa Clara is different because it is a national company that relies on research and development. What is the company’s future?
Santa Clara Agrociência is a company that has an innovative DNA in research innovation. We have strongly entered the application technology research sector with this line, as well as other lines we are working on.
