Brazil’s largest agrochemical company, Nortox, exclusively announced, to AgroPages, the launch of another product in 2019, Mancozeb Nortox, which will be available in all agricultural regions of Brazil by the end of October 2019.
According to Nortox, Mancozeb is a fungicide belonging to the chemical group, dithiocarbamates, which features multisite action on targeted crops widely available to researchers, consultants and farmers around Brazil. The product controls many fungal diseases that cause economic damage to several Brazilian crops.
"Mancozeb Nortox is ideal for rotating fungicides with systemic products in the Integrated Disease Management. Now, the market can rely on the tradition and innovation of Nortox in managing fungal diseases in plantations on a daily basis," said Guilherme Acquarole, marketing manager of Nortox.
He noted Mancozeb Nortox is the company’s fourth agricultural pesticide release in 2019, adding to the online launches of plant nutrition products and hybrid corn and sorghum seeds. The product features WG formulation, with a concentration of 750 grams per kilogram.
Mancozeb Nortox can be used on a wide range of registered crops, giving farmers flexibility when managing fungal diseases in rice, banana, potato, coffee, citrus, beans, apple, soy, tomato and grape crops. The registration is also uniquely a multisite protector that can be used to control soybean rust, and another option for countering resistance in this key crop.
Coinciding with the launch, Nortox announced the research and development of new formulations and exclusive blends of active ingredients for the domestic market, while pointing out that soy-based fungicides are in full development.
"Over the next two years, we will have excellent news regarding management options for this important segment of Brazilian agriculture. In 2019, we are also expecting to launch three new agricultural pesticide products. We appreciate the confidence of our distributors throughout Brazil, and especially the trust of Brazilian farmers. For 65 years, we have evolved alongside Brazilian agriculture," concluded Acquarole.
