Rotam do Brasil receives field trials accreditation from MAPA
Date:05-28-2019
Rotam do Brasil, based in Campinas (SP), has taken an important step in its strategy of resumption of growth in the Brazilian market. After a period working in the technical and registration areas, the company was accredited with the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) for its experimental station, located in the city of Artur Nogueira (SP). This accreditation will provide for the execution of official trials for the extension of the label of its current products, as well as for registrations of new assets, both isolated and in mixtures.
According to Carlos Cesar de Oliveira Guarnieri, a researcher at Rotam's experimental station, this is an important strategic step for Rotam do Brasil, which seeks to optimize processes and perfectly integrate research and testing phases. "We will greatly reduce the pre-registration period of the new molecules, as well as bring greater reliability and protection of our data," said Guarnieri.
With the accreditation, Rotam can meet a large part of the demand for official reports from the company's registration department, which generates, among other things, the savings of resources in time and money. "This process being carried out internally enables greater security as regards confidential information, greater reliability of efficacy results, knowledge of Rotam's own commercial team, as well as product performance, even before it is launched in the market," added Guarnieri.
Among the post-patent companies, and the agrochemicals known as generics, Rotam is one of the few in the Brazilian market to acquire certification. "We now have the possibility to generate official reports to other companies that do not have their own experimental stations, offering knowledge about the sector, including main market standards, doses, cases of resistance to pesticides, new pests, among others ", noted Guarnieri.
