BioTEPP announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors, Sylvain Lavoie and Hugo St-Laurent

BioTEPP inc. biotechnology company that manufactures Virosoft™ CP4, a biopesticide that can be applied to apple trees as well as to other fruit trees such as pear, plum or peach trees, announces the appointment of Sylvain Lavoie and Hugo St-Laurent to its Board of Directors.
Active in the Quebec and Canadian agricultural industry for more than 30 years and known for his managerial and strategic skills, Mr. Lavoie is presently CEO of Synagri. He previously held a number of senior management positions including that of vice-president of Eastern Canada at Yara. He also distinguished himself in the Quebec agricultural cooperative sector for 15 years. His expertise allows him to have a global vision of modern agricultureand its challenges. Mr. Lavoie is a member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec.

Mr. St-Laurent is president, chief executive officer and co-founder of SiliCycle Inc. Prior to joining the company, he worked for the National Institute of Scientific Research (INRS GéoRessources) and co-founded and co-chaired Enviro-Dynamique. Holder of a University Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés at Université Laval (Quebec), he is also very socially involved. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and of several boards of directors, including ComédieAh !, Mirapakon, Total Océan and J’entreprends Québec. Mr. St-Laurent holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Université Laval.

Already present in the states of Washington and Oregon, where 90% of its production is exported, BioTEPP wants to expand its market to California, Eastern U.S. and Latin America. Finally, the company is pursuing research and
development work to develop new products to control crop pests.
