Syngenta’s wheat scab control product Maitian (pydiflumetofen) files for market release in China

Recently, it was revealed that a product from Syngenta, called Maitian, is being filed for market release, which will be launched soon, to be used for effective control of wheat scab.
The active ingredient of Maitian, a latest generation fungicide, is pydiflumetofen. Its unique Adepidyn TM technology enables a higher activity, broader fungicidal spectrum, longer lasting effect and safer application. The product has already been registered and launched in a number of countries, including the US. It is regarded as an epoch-making SDHI product, which has won the 2018 China Chemical Science and Technology Progress Award.
Maitian is extremely effective in the control of wheat scab. It is expected to become the most promising fungicide for controlling wheat scab, the growth of high-quality wheat and assurance of food security in the future. After Syngenta’s long-year field trials and third-party experiments, Maitian will be proven to be effective in the control of wheat scab.
