Date:04-19-2019
- For the first time, BASF presents the seed portfolio at the event
- New herbicides for weeds of difficult control are presented at the fair
- Company works with the importance of management to achieve greater productivity and strengthen the legacy of farmers
Choosing the best cultivar to be sown in the 2019/20 soybean crop is one of the challenges for farmers. To help in this decision making, BASF presents its seed portfolio for the first time at Tecnoshow Comigo, an event held in Rio Verde (GO) from April 8 to 12, 2019.
With a high production ceiling and a medium cycle (115 days), CZ 37B43 IPRO is the best adapted soybean variety in Goiás, according to Mairson Santana, BASF's Soybean Marketing Manager. "The variety has excellent cradle capacity with a high number of pods and has resistance to cyst nematode (Race 3)," says Santana.
Another launch is the CZ 58B28 IPRO variety from Credenz® , the soya bean brand from BASF. For seed multipliers, the novelty is the ST 777 IPRO variety from SoyTech® - the seed licensing brand from BASF.
Innovation in herbicides
For the management of weeds of difficult control, the company offers the herbicides Atectra® and Amplexus ™ . The Atectra® is indicated for the control of weeds broadleaf like horseweed. And Amplexus ™ is an option for controlling weeds with narrow leaves, especially the bittergrass.
"Both products are effective in plants that are already resistant to herbicides such as glyphosate. They are alternatives for the rotation of active ingredients of products and the correct management of the crops, "explains Marcos Antônio Campos, Manager of Territory Marketing at BASF.
Efficient management is one of the flags raised by BASF. The company advises on good agronomic practices for the farmer to produce more and better, aiming the sustainability of the business in the long term. "Our commitment is with the legacy of the farmers. We believe that the management done in a correct way gives greater longevity to the crops, with assertiveness in making decisions that generate greater profitability, "concludes Helio Cabral, manager of Soy Marketing at BASF.
Digital Services
BASF also offers digital services such as the xarvio ™ platform for the digital monitoring of invasive plants in crops to provide complete solutions for farmers . "The service provides the rational use of resources on the property and allows for better planning of herbicide applications," said Lucas Marcolin, Manager, Digital Agriculture, BASF.
