United Phosphorus Q2 net profit up 13% to Rs114 crore

Agro-chemical company United Phosphorus Ltd said its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September 2010 increased 12.9% to Rs114 crore from Rs101 crore same quarter last year.

During the quarter to end-September its total revenues increased 10% to Rs1,280 crore from Rs1,161 crore, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

On Tuesday, United Phosphorus shares shed 7.2% to Rs200 on BSE, while the benchmark Sensex declined 0.4% to 20,221 points.
