Parijat Industries conferred award from national safety council of India

Agrochemical firm Parijat Industries has been conferred the Suraksha Puraskar (Bronze trophy) for the year 2018 by the National Safety Council of India. This is the third year in a row that Parijat has been conferred with this safety award by the Government of India under the aegis of the National Safety Council. The firm was awarded the Silver trophy in 2016, Gold award in 2017.
The award was presented by Ministry of Labour and Employment at a function organised in Delhi.
The award has been conferred for consistent and meritorious operational safety at Parijat's manufacturing plant at Ambala (Haryana). The manufacturing plant is an accredited 18001 OSHAS facility.
Parijat's plant at Ambala has a fully implemented 18001 occupational health and safety system as well as the ISO 14001 which is the international standard for an Effective Environmental Management system (EMS) and both are global management systems for safety and environment standards. Parijat has also established an extensive scientific infrastructure for research and development at Ambala with seven different laboratories and scientific centres.
" Safety and adherence to safety in all aspects of our operations is a prime enduring commitment of Parijat and all its employees , the award from the National Safety Council is a great source of motivation and strengthens our commitment for continuous improvement and excellence in this area , we are also committed to farmer Safety and the company is also engaged in a countrywide initiative to promote farmer safety and safe practices related to crop protection" , said Mr Vikram Anand, Director at Parijat on receiving the award.
The NSCI Safety Award are much coveted national level awards in the field of occupational safety, health and environment and are given in recognition for effective Safety Management System and excellent safety and health performance by the organisations in manufacturing, construction and MSME sectors during the relevant assessment periods.
