Date:03-26-2019
Ukrainian company ALFA Smart Agro began operating its new plant protection storage complex, which is a Class A facility designed to store 4,600 tons of products.
The new complex is located in the town of Bila Tserkva, it has a total area of 3,300 meter-squared and can accommodate 4,600 individual pallets that can hold a ton of products. ALFA Smart Agro invested over US$80 million in the complex.
Plant protection products require special storage conditions, which is why the complex is equipped with modern heating and ventilation systems, to maintain the required climate throughout the year. Even in winter, the temperature of the complex remains at +8 °C, preventing any reduction to product quality during storage and guaranteeing the safety of the environment.
The company also cares about the safety of its workers, and has installed an automated air purification system. It has also reviewed its worker’s schedules and has created comfortable indoor working conditions.
It has also installed a high-tech fire safety system, which includes powder fire extinguishing cylinders located on the ceiling above every rack, between racks, and on all side walls. Sensitive sensors respond instantly to the slightest danger.
The complex features a customs-licensed warehouse. The availability of MLS allows the company to optimize the procurement of raw materials to produce SZR, as well as to provide operational deliveries of finished products, in accordance with the seasonal needs of Ukrainian agrarians.
The launch of the complex is an important event for Ukrainian agricultural producers. It will also become a key link between ALFA Smart Agro and its partners, guaranteeing new levels of product quality and shipping efficiency.
