InCeres, AGCO and Tecgraf launch Farm Solutions, a portfolio for precision agriculture
Date:03-12-2019
InCeres, a startup that specializes in solutions for digital agriculture, is taking another big step towards consolidating its partnership program. InCeres has joined AGCO, a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, and Tecgraf, a software supplier, to launch Farm Solutions. This is a portfolio of agronomic solutions aimed at precision agriculture, which will be displayed during the Expodireto Cotrijal agribusiness fair that held in No-Me-Toque (RS) from March 11 to 15.
The fair aims to provide technological support to the rural producer to overcome challenges related to preparation, planting and harvesting. The objective of the partnership is to contribute to increasing the sustainable productivity of agricultural activities, connecting the fundamental links of the productive chain, such as the machines and a platform for digital agriculture.
According to Leonardo Menegatti, CEO of InCeres, "This is the first time that two strands, two very important lines for agribusiness, are uniting in the field. The machinery industry has been working for a long time in the development of its machinery and products, and the line of fertilization, of recommendations, has long been producing knowledge that improves nutrition and productivity."
According to Menegatti, the idea of the partnership between InCeres and AGCO is meant to integrate the part of nutrition and recommendation through soil and plant nutrition with the machine side, in a way to increase productivity and efficiency even more for producers. "This meeting in the field is very important," he added.
According to Niumar Aurélio, Fuse Product Marketing supervisor of AGCO, the company's technology strategy has emerged with the need to improve the offerings of precision agriculture solutions, and Farm Solutions complements this range of products and services. "We conducted studies together with our partners to be able to offer agronomic services relevant to the farmer to face his farming challenges," says Aurélio. "Thanks to the capillarity of our network of concessionaires present in the main agricultural regions of Brazil and South America, Farm Solutions will be within reach of all," noted Aurelio.
InCeres will use its expertise in crop area analysis and provide a set of specialized tools for agricultural management, in accordance with the concept of precision agriculture, allowing for more efficient and economical cultivation.
Tecgraf's AgroCAD is software that is specialized in traffic line design, which works in conjunction with AGCO's RTK autopilot and correction solutions. The tool helps the farmer to confine machine traffic, reducing soil compaction and increasing productivity by 15% to 25%.
Farm Solutions is part of AGCO's portfolio of Precision Agriculture solutions for Massey Ferguson and Valtra brands. The tool will be available on the dealership network for these brands in the first half of 2019.
