Date:10-13-2010
The International Fair of Southwest Iberian-Agroexpo hosted a workshop on “Teppeki: A new insecticide for aphid control in orchards and tomatoes", organized by Acopaex.
Sebastian Pantión Labrador, responsible for the commercial development for
crop protection Belchim Spain S.A, was in charge of giving an explanation of what Teppeki is; a new systemic insecticide that is made 50% of water dispersible granules (WG) and contains the new active substance
flonicamid. This product is synthesized and developed by the Japanese Company
Ishihara sangyo Kaisha (ISK) and distributed in Europe by Belchim
crop protection. It is currently registered in different EU countries, including Spain.
Sebastian Pantion has also indicated that the use of low doses of active material Teppeki inhibits the feeding process of aphids without harmful effects on auxiliary insects.
flonicamid is an active material with a good systemic and translaminar action effect.
