China’s first pesticide Dark Factory put into operation for saflufenacil mixing with glyphosate
Date:01-08-2019
On December 20, 2018, Dark Factory, launched by Chinese agrochemical company Huizhou Yinnong Technology at a huge investment, was put into operation and marked a new era in China’s smart pesticide production. On the same day, Yinnong Technology’s new herbicides, Kanjing and Piaojin, were released in the market, having achieved a breakthrough in saflufenacil mixing with glyphosate in China.
The pesticide Dark Factory is a brand new herbicide production workshop built by Yinnong Technology using the manufacturing execution system (MES) in the course of production, where the entire production process is highly automated, beginning from material feeding right up to the finished product packaging. Its production output is expected to annually reach 3,000 tons.
Kanjing is a saflufenacil·glyphosate 32% OD (saflufenacil 2%+glyphosate 30%) and Piaojin is a saflufenacil·glyphosate 75% WDG (saflufenacil 5%+glyphosate 70%). Both are registered in China for the control of weeds in uncultivated lands.
In 2014, Yinnong Technology executed a strategic agreement with BASF, where BASF supplied patented saflufenacil technical, while Yinnong Technology took charge of the research and production of nonselective herbicides mixing with glyphosate.
