Date:12-21-2018
AGROPAGES has recently learned from the Chinese agrochemical company
Hailir Pesticides and Chemicals Group that its imidacloprid product was recently granted registration by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture.
Since its launch in the 1980’s, the market share of imidacloprid has grown rapidly, attributable to its excellent performance. The product has remained the 3rd largest insecticide variety, in terms of global sales, having reached $1.02 billion in 2016. In 2017, imidacloprid ranked 9th among the Top 10 Bestselling Pesticides of Brazil. The demand for imidacloprid is likely to still grow, as driven by the increase in planting of major economic crops in Brazil, and the promotion of seed dressing agents.
As an imidacloprid leading manufacture in China, Hailir possesses an imidacloprid capacity of 2,500 tons, and the intermediate CCMP capacity of 2,500 tons, which is self-sufficient in supply of intermediate, enabling the company to have an integrated advantage. So far, Hailir has been granted registrations for this product in more than 60 countries and regions. It is expected that sales of the product will increase significantly in Brazil next year, which will further reinforce Hailir’s dominant position in the market for this product.
Hailir is dedicated to industry development and global business deployment. Over the last 2 years, since its public listing, the company has placed a priority on the CCMP industry chain downstream and has continued to strengthen its product advantages in pesticide technicals, such as thiamethoxam, clothianidin and dinotefuran. In the meantime, Hailir has managed independent registrations in Brazil, Argentina and Myanmar, as well as the establishment of the Hailir-featured agricultural industry chain service platform, to provide its global partners with high-quality, efficient and stable products and services.
