The FullPage Rice Cropping Solution, a new generation of rice seeds with better tolerance to the herbicides of the chemical Imidazolinones (IMI) group, is set to be launched in the Brazilian market. The technology is expected to arrive in the country in the next harvest on XP113 and Inov products, said RiceTec Inc agronomist and marketing director Leandro Pasqualli.
"FullPage hybrids show a marked improvement in tolerance to IMI herbicides. This improves the response of the culture during stressful growth conditions and ensures its genetic potential. This characteristic gives the producer the benefit of a greater flexibility in the application of the herbicides, as well as the beginning of irrigation of the crop," said Pasqualli.
With FullPage technology, RiceTec and Adama intend to offer a complete weed management system, backed by a team of technical service representatives to assist farmers. "All our representatives are available to help farmers adjust to this new crop solution and advise them on the best practices for using the system for each crop," he said.
The two companies, which since 2017 had already signed a collaboration agreement for weed control solutions, also promised more news for the rice market, with the launch of another technology focused on the economic sustainability of the crop. The technology, called Max-Ace, aims to fully meet the needs of producers from weed control to productivity, as RiceTec CEO Mike Gumina pointed out.
