Date:11-21-2018
On November 16, Win-All High-Tech Seed Ltd announced the decision of Sinochem’s wholly-owned subsidiary Sinochem Agriculture Holdings to become its largest shareholder by holding 21.50% of the stakes of the company via the acquisition of shares of the initial shareholders.
Sinochem Group is the controlling shareholder of Sinochem Agriculture Holdings, being actually under the control of China’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Sinochem Group is one of the four prime oil companies of China, being a leading chemicals and comprehensive service provider, as well as China’s largest agricultural inputs (fertilizer, seed and pesticide) and modern agricultural service company. It is also an influential company in urban development and non-banking financial service.
Industry experts said that the core competence of Win-All High-Tech Seed lies in its rice seed and corn seed research and development capacity. While the company is inclined to focus on a more intensified agricultural development strategy in the future, Sinochem being the largest shareholder of the company will provide the company with the advantages of Sinochem’s great resources and channels.
