During the Expointer 2018, the highlight from Ourofino Agrociência was the Nillus fungicide, a protective multi-site fungicide for soybean crops in the region. During this event, which is considered the largest open-air agricultural fair in Latin America, the company presented to its visitors the Focus 360 program.
It is an initiative that brings a new concept in resistance management on corn, soybeans, and cotton, and works with innovative formulations to re-imagine Brazilian agriculture. “The Ourofino Agrociência solutions are produced in the most modern factory of pesticides in Brazil. In that way, they offer differentiated treatment for the conditions of climate and soil,” said Marco Cunha, manager of Insecticide and Fungicide Products of the company.
The protective multi-site fungicide, Nillus (chlorothalonil), for instance, has a unique and innovative formulation, composed of microparticles that enable a better fixation, plant cover and larger period of control, becoming an important tool for the resistance management of fungal diseases on soybeans.

According to the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company (Embrapa), this active principle is highlighted when applied in sequence, being one of the most efficient and recommended ones for soybean rust.
Eleve was also highlighted within the Focus 360 program. It is a protective multi-site fungicide based on mancozeb and recommended for soybeans, cotton, rice, kidney beans, wheat, corn, coffee, and others such as potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, grapes, citrus and apples. The product brings more efficiency and safety in management and was showcased during the fair, which held from August 25 to September 2 in the city of Esteio, state of Rio Grande do Sul.
“Expointer is aimed at the agricultural sector and several ranchers are rural producers, which become our customers. As there was a significant increase in soybean areas in the state, we presented at the fair the best solutions for the crop, aimed at productivity and profitability for local growers,” highlighted Juliano Lisboa, commercial consultant at Ourofino Agrociência in the region.
Another product that will be presented at the event is ParrudoBR (procymidone), a fungicide with liquid formulation, liquid fixation and more tolerance to rain for the control of plagues such as white mold. All questions can be addressed to Ourofino’s technical staff, who will be ready to guide people over practical improvements in the field.
