United Phosphorus net profit for Q1 plummets 86%

Indian agrochem firm United Phosphorus has reported results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.

United Phosphorus’ net profit has plunged by 85.99% to Rs 7.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as against Rs 52.11 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Its total Income has grown by 3.94% from Rs 693.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 721.21 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. 

The Consolidated Results are as follows: The group’s net profit has decreased by 19.22% to Rs 142.35 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 176.24 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Its total income has also declined by 9.55% to Rs 1487.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 1644.18 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.
