Chinese fungicide usage will up 10% in 2010

Chinese fungicide has grown for two consecutive years, especially in some fruit and vegetables. Due to the unfavorable weather and aggravating diseases, it is estimated that fungicide usage will increase by 10% this year, reports

The overcast and rain from early this year to May has result in more anthracnose, canker disease, Ring spot on fruits. Fungous blight on vegetables was even severe. The false smut, rice blast and sheath blight have increase the usage on some kinds of fungicides, such as copper sulfate, carbendazol, and
validamycin.
Escalation acreages on fruit, vegetables, soybean, and ornamental plants has cause more disease, which also promoted the demand on fungicides.
The demand on triazolone, tebuconazole and mancozeb increased due to the puccinia striiformis. With a broad spectrum, piomycin became a best seller. Some import fungicides such as infinito, propineb, armure have gained considerable shares in domestic market.
