FMC extends Authority fungicide’s use for sugarcane in Brazil
Date:12-08-2017
The Authority fungicide (azoxystrobin + flutriafol) had its use recommendation extended for the crop of sugarcane in Brazil. According to the maker, FMC Agricultural Solutions, the product is still “effective against pineapple rot and the orange rust, besides having all the characteristics that can be useful for the sugarcane crop.”
FMC Agricultural Solutions explained that the high performance of the Authority was due to its “systemicity, which promotes larger distribution of the product on leaves and rapid penetration, ensuring lower risk of loss due to rain. In addition to this, its balanced formulation guarantees the synergy between active ingredients.”
Authority already had a registration and consolidated use for extensive crops such as corn, coffee, wheat and cotton. “It has a balanced formulation with two active ingredients as action mechanisms with high absorption power and movement, which guarantee full development without compromising on the plant metabolism,” revealed the maker.
“We have resolved to widen the registration, because we understand that these benefits are unique, which will take cane crops to new levels of yield and quality. With this launch, FMC’s intention is to provide the sector with an efficient and economically viable option for sugarcane management,” stressed Adriano Roland, FMC Fungicide manager.
