A bio-pesticide formulation contains the active ingredients of bacillus plymyxa and jinggangmycin (validamycin) was patented in China, reports
Agropages.com. This breakthrough product was developed by Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences(AAAS). By offering advantages from efficacy, economical, environmental and residue point of view, the new formulation provides a new solution to suppress Rice Sheath Blight.
Rice sheath blight cost growers 20% in yield losses. Being in the market for many years, the jinggangmycin is easily being resistant by the pathogen. The combination of these ais demonstrated significant synergistic effect on the control of rice sheath blight and rice false smut with a "resistance-breaking" effect.
