Nippon Soda launches two new picarbutrazox fungicides in Japan

Nippon Soda announced it has received registration in Japan for two fungicides: Nae Fine Flowable (ナエファイン粉剤, in Japanese) and Pisi Rock Flowable (ピシロックフロアブル), which containing its new active ingredient picarbutrazox (Development Code: NF-171).
Picarbutrazox, belongs to tetrazolyloxime class, is a novel fungicide with a new mode of action. It can be used to control oomycetes disease such as bremia, pythium, peronospora, pseudoperonspora, and phytophthora spp. on cucurbits, cereals, tomato, potato, turf, lettuce, and other leafy vegetables.
Nae Fine Flowable is a product jointly developed by JA and Nippon Soda for controlling rice plant breeding disease (box breeding seedling), and rice seedling blight. This product is scheduled to be on sale within the year, and Kumiai Chemical will be in charge of sales.
Pisi Rock Flowable shows excellent efficacy against oomycete fungus causing vegetable diseases. It is effective against fungus which is resistant to existing products and is expected to be popular as a product for rotation spraying. The product is scheduled to be on sale in the fall of this year.
