Syngenta, LS Electronicamecánica develop machine for seed treatment in Argentina

Syngenta has developed a seed treatment machine, in partnership with LS Electromecánica, which aims to meet the demands of the producers in Argentina. 

 

The new machine was named Piccolo, and according to Syngenta, operates easily and facilitates speedy professional treatment of any type of seed, as per the requirements of the multinational for its biotechnological products.

 

Owing to its compact size, Picoolo can easily be put on the multipliers facilities without a lot of investments, according to the makers. The machine is semi-automatic with wheels that generate mobility and can be carried by a truck. It has 40kg receptors and can treat the seeds in 30 seconds. It can treat between four and eight tons of soybean seeds per hour, besides wheat, peanuts, barley and cotton. The first machines were delivered to large dealers in several regions of the country recently.

 

“We have launched a new technology for professional seed treatment companies that manage the lot system and allows to apply formulated products, based on liquid or powder. Its commercial name is Piccolo, and has the same technological procedures as the automatic machines, but with a management system that can be manual or semi-automatic,” declared Luis Funes, president of LS Electromecánica.

 

“Piccolo was designed by following all the requirements of the market, which today demand a more compact machine. This technology overcomes all the quality standards that Syngenta imposes and can guarantee the correct application of our products, and an excellent quality for the producer,” said Pablo Rugeroni, Syngenta SeedCare staff.
