Barenbrug further develops seed enhancement

The Barenbrug Group will further develop its seed enhancement business. In addition to leading global research & development in grass and forage legume genetics, seed enhancement will further contribute to the focus on creating added value for customers worldwide. Seed enhancement will now become an integral part of the strategic approach of the Barenbrug Group. Within this context, Mr Andro Tjin has been appointed to the newly created position of Global Seed Enhancement Technology Manager as of September 2017.
The position
The position of Global Seed Enhancement Technology Manager has been created to take seed enhancement at the Barenbrug Group to the next level. In this position, Mr Tjin will focus on the development of new technologies. He will also be responsible for creating synergy between the different regional seed enhancement programmes and plants to maximise output.
About Andro Rjin
Andro (44) studied Plant Breeding in Wageningen, the Netherlands, and completed his PhD in Seed Physiology in winter wheat at Harper Adams University College in England. He joins Barenbrug from Syngenta, where he worked as a Senior Scientist in their Global Seed Enhancement Group.
