Microquimica launches seed pretreatment solution in Brazil
Date:09-01-2017
Brazilian company Microquimica has launched a solution that gathers two inoculants: AzzoFix (
Azospirillum), Atmo (
Bradyrhizobium) and one biological protector SynFlex in the pre-treatment of seeds can anticipate between 10 and 30 days, the management of the seedling.
The combination of the products was authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply) for the soybean crop in Brazil. According to Roberto Berwanger Batista, technical director of Microquimica, the combination of technologies bring efficiency in the biological nitrogen fixation (BNF), a biological protection of micro-organisms that allow the pre-treatment of the seeds.
“This combination allows an operational gain and an increase in crop yields, with a minimum addition of 1% of the cost per hectare for the producer and achieving superior gains of more than 10% per hectare,” explained Batista.
The co-inoculation is a technique that consists of the inoculation of two different micro-organisms simultaneously in the crop, either in the seed treatment or the sowing furrow. In the case of AzzoFix and Atmo, each one of the bacteria has different functions and actions different in the plant, bringing an adequate supply of nitrogen through the addition of BNF and the greater root development, due to the phytohormone produced by Azospirillum contained in the AzzoFix.
According to Microquimica, the use of the additive SynFlex results in the survival and effectiveness of the inoculated bacteria, besides operational gains, due to the possibility of making anticipated seed treatment at the moment of the seedling. There is a possibility of carrying out the industrial seed treatment also.
“At the industrial seed treatment, there is the use of high-efficiency equipment guaranteeing a perfectly uniform coating of the seeds. Therefore, the result of the products used is also improved in the field,” Batista added.
