Syngenta registers bionematicide Clariv PN for soybeans in Brazil
Date:08-31-2017
Syngenta has registered in Brazil the bionematicide Clariva PN (Pasteuria nishizawae).
The deferment of the request was published in the Official Union Gazette on Tuesday, August 22 with the authorization of the Agricultural Defense Secretariat under the registration No. 16,917.
It is a micro-biological nematicide for the seed treatment with a formulation with concentrated suspension. The product is recommended for the control of cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines) in soybean crops.
“The seeds treated with Clariva PN will elevate the current programs of cyst nematode management of soybeans to another level, reducing the feeding and reproduction (of the endoparasite). It is a direct and proven solution that will help producers to increase yields,” Nathan Klages from Syngenta Canada said at the time of the product’s launch in the country.
According to the maker, Clariva PN is highly-effective even under a variable environmental condition, regardless of soil pH, temperature or moisture. The product is indicated for the practices of crop rotation and complements the use of resistant soybean varieties or partially resistant to cyst nematode of the soybeans.
