Patented product Paichongding and Atailing granted registration in China
Date:08-15-2017
The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture recently granted full registration to bio-pesticides Paichongding 95% TC and 10% SC of
Jiangsu KWIN Group and the plant immune induced proteinoligosaccharide.chain protein 6% (Atailing) of Beijing Green Agricultural Science and Technology Ltd.
This is the first time a full registration for Paichongding has been achieved since its successful launch in 2008. Atailing is the first independently registered bio-pesticide at home and abroad, containing a new active ingredient, which is a plant immune-induced protein with independent intellectual property rights.
China’s first neonicotinoid insecticide with independent intellectual property rights
Paichongding is a novel, high-efficient and broad-spectrum neonicotinoid insecticide with independent intellectual property rights, as developed jointly by the Jiangsu KWIN Group and East China University of Science and Technology in 2008.
The product acts on insect neuraxissynapse receptors and cuts off nerve conduction. Paichongding has a good systemic conduction function, being effective for control of various sucking mouthpart pests with fast killing speed, good control effect, long-lasting action, broad spectrum and low toxicity.
When Paichongding is used for the control of homopteran pests, it provides doubled control effect than imidacloprid. The product can be applied to a large variety of crops, including fruit trees, wheat, soybean, vegetable, paddy rice and corn. The field efficacy trials have demonstrated satisfactory insecticidal efficacy, long-lasting action and higher safety of use, enabling the product to become a novel insecticide against sucking mouthpart pests, coleopteran pests and diptera pests.
The development of neonicotinoid insecticides has presently hit a bottleneck, where the increasing issue of resistance and the potential hazard to honeybees is impacting the future prospects of neonicotinoid insecticides. In this conjunction, Paichongding would have bright market prospects with its resistance-solving capability while being safe for honeybees.
China’s first proprietary bio-pesticide goes global successfully
The oligosaccharide.chain protein 6% (Atailing) is an innovative product developed independently by a research team headed by Qiu Dewen, the deputy chief of the Institute of Plant Protection (IPP) affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) after over 10-year hard try, taking into account the specific occurrences of plant disease and the plant resistance mechanism. The product is industrialized by Beijing Green Agricultural Science and Technology Ltd.
The product is a created plant immune induced protein bio-pesticide, which effectively enhances plant immunity, controls occurrence of plant disease, promotes plant root growth, and increases yield and income without any environmental impact. In February 2016, U.S. Arysta acted as an exclusive overseas agency for Atailing, which has become China’s first proprietary bio-pesticide going global successfully.
