Ourofino Agrociência inaugurates WDG herbicide factory

Ourofino Agrociência announces the inauguration of a plant for Water Dispersible Granules (WDG) with a contribution of R$12 million for the production of herbicides.
According to the company, the new unit will enable the production of solutions with more concentration and better performance, besides offering safe management and easy application in the field.
“Today, we have all the technologies existent in the market for agrochemicals available for manufacturing. With WDG, we have presented to the sector the main solutions of Ourofino Agrociência for the sugarcane crop: Velpar K (diuron + hexazinon) and Advance (diuron + hexazinon),” the industrial director of the company, Jair Sunega, highlighted.
With high production capacity, a WDG plant has been installed in an industrial park of over 50,000 square meters of constructed area within the factory of Ourofino Agrociência, located in the Chemical Belt of Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The master plan contemplates expansion and implementation of new technologies with low impact on the work routine, reducing operational exposition of the product manipulation and aims for non-pollution of the natural environment because it follows rigorous environmental conducts with absolute filters that bring zero escape. That is, more quality for employees and the ecosystem.
The new industry has the competency to achieve a mixture, micronization, homogenization, granulation, drying, granule selection and even the automated packaging of produced formulations. “In order to obtain the best product, we have cutting-edge equipment. All the spaces for the new plant are hermetic and ergonomic, with high standards of safety and quality,” said Sunega.
Norival Bonamichi, president of Ourofino Agrociência, pointed out that all the plants of the industrial park of the company have these characteristics. “Agrociência is still young; however, the research centers, the experimental stations, and laboratories have cutting-edge technology. The same happens with the factory, we are one of the most modern industries for pesticides in the world. We were born large and will continue to grow.”
According to Bonamichi, the inauguration reiterates the commitment of Ourofino to investing constantly in the Brazilian farm business to increase productivity in the field. “Being ahead in the market and working side by side with farmers are the pillars that move us,” he concluded.
