Brazil imports 3,000 tons of imidacloprid in H1

Brazil imported 3,000 tons of imidacloprid during the first semester of 2017, according to the portal Global Agrochemicals.
The volume shipped registered a slight growth of 0.3%, compared with the same period of last year.
China continues to be a major Brazilian supplier, with nearly 1.4 thousand tons, which represented 44% of the total. In second place was India with 784 tons, followed by Germany with 574 tons.
The months with more volume of imports in the first semester were January (616.6 tons) and June (747 tons). During both, there was a decrease, compared with last year, from 12% to 23%, respectively. In all of 2016, 8,200 tons of imidacloprid were imported, with 36.8% being imported in the first semester.
