Lier Chemical’s semi-annual net profit up 52.44%

Lier Chemical announced its business achievements for the January to June 2017 period on July 12.

It reported operating income of Yuan1.219 billion, up 32.75% year-on-year, with the average growth rate of the chemical industry being 40.24%; net profit attributable to shareholders was Yuan149 million, up 52.44% year-on-year, which is slightly below the average growth rate of the chemical industry of 53.55%. The company said market demand for major products of the company is quite strong, while the company’s annual 5,000-ton Glufosinate technical upgrading project has been brought up to capacity, which ensures sufficient supplies to the market, resulting in the increase in business income and profitability.

During this period, the company’s business profit, total profit and net profit attributable to shareholders jumped 56.20%, 53.45% and 52.44% year-on-year, respectively, as a result of growth in sales of major products of the company.
