Nippon Kayaku’s agrochemical sales up slightly in FY 2017

Sales of Japanese company Nippon Kayaku’s agrochemical business rose by 1.5% to 6,600 million yen in the fiscal year which ended March 31, 2017, as a result of strong demand for existing core products. The agrochemicals business recorded year-on-year growth in overall sales. Domestic sales underperformed while exports outperformed the previous fiscal year.
Nippon Kayaku forecast a 1.9% sales increase to some 6,700 million yen for agrochemicals business in fiscal year 2018.
The company disclosed that they are planning to launch the new agrochemical, ANM138, in the fourth quarter of next fiscal year.
