Sharda Cropchem Q4FY17 consolidated net profit declines slightly

Sharda Cropchem Ltd’s consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 594.9 crore, registering 13.7% yoy increase. This was primarily driven by 17.2% yoy increase in revenue from its primary segment, agrochemicals.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 6.6% yoy to Rs. 162.53 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 180 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 27.3%.

PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 98.7 crore, yoy marginal decline of 1.6%. This was due to proportionately higher expenses as compared to the growth in revenues.

Looking at the full year numbers, we see that Revenue jumped by 13% to reach Rs.1414.9 crore. Company reported net profit of Rs.190.4 crore, up 9% yoy.
