TMG to launch new GM cotton at the 11th Brazilian Cotton Congress

Tropical Melhoramento & Genética (TMG) said it will launch a new variety of genetically modified cotton (GMO) cotton TMG44B2RF with the Bolgard II RR Flex technology of Monsanto in August.
According to the maker, feather quality, high yield and resistance to diseases such as ramularia are some of the differentials of the new variety.
With the presentation forecast for the 11 Brazilian Cotton Congress, the variety TMG44B2RF will be available for cotton growers during the 2017-2018 season.
“Brazil has conditions to multiply several times the planted area with the cotton crop, being able to invest more on verticalization of the productive chain. This is only made with technology, making essential events, such as the Congress,” affirmed the CEO of TMG, Francisco José Soares Neto.
During the Congress, the maker will present the characteristics of the product, relying on the advisory of technicians and executives of the company present at the event. Organized by the Brazilian Association of Cotton Growers, the Congress will take place from August 29 to September 1 this year, in Maceió, the state of Alagoas.
“This is the advantage of being present at an event that gathers all the productive chain. We can release intensely and in a personalized way our products for a strategic pubic for our business. The Congress is an excellent opportunity for relationship and, also, a showcase of our portfolio. Especially, for the launch,” stressed Neto.
