Australia Oks Novozymes’ biofungicide Actinovate
Date:05-17-2017
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has proposed to approve Novozymes BioAg Limited’s biofungicide Actinovate, which contains a new active ingredient never been approved in Australia before.
The active ingredient of Actinovate is streptomyces lydicus WYEC108, a gram-positive soil-dwelling bacterium, for use as a biological fungicidal active constituent in agricultural chemical products.
Actinovate is proposed to be approved for use as a preventative fungicide that will be applied as a foliar or soil drench, or seed treatment in agriculture, horticulture, greenhouse, nursery and turf.
