Nissan Chemical completed construction work of its Biological Research Laboratories

Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd. has since August 2010 been executing a fundamental improvement plan for the Biological Research Laboratories (Shiraoka-shi, Saitama).
By now, all of the construction work is done over five terms was completed in March 2017, beginning with the main research building, and including the agricultural chemicals research building and greenhouses, among other facilities.
Research details of this facility include effect tests of agricultural chemicals in greenhouses and fields, safety tests, residual tests; pharmacological tests of drugs ranging from the gene level to pathological models, safety tests, and pharmacokinetic studies; development of medical materials such as cell culture media, stem-cell amplification agents, and medical device coating materials.
Moving forward, the Biological Research Laboratories, as a research base for life sciences to facilitate evaluation research related to the usefulness and safety of agricultural chemicals, pharmaceutical products and medical materials, will accelerate research for new product creation.
