BASF opens new Seed Solutions plant in Argentina

BASF has opened a new Seed Solutions Plant in Necochea, a city in Buenos Aires Province. Following this launch, BASF already have 17 plants in Argentina that allow producers to treat their seed with the latest application technology and a complete portfolio of inoculants, fungicides, polymers, dyes and insecticides.
“Through the Seed Solutions units, we deliver to producers an innovative technology to obtain a maximum potential for seeds, thanks to the professional care and application of products. The seeds are ready for planting, which guarantees and eases the work of personnel in the field,” noted the manager of Seed Treatment of BASF, Pablo Ramirez D’Auria.
In each unit, a complete treatment is offered for soybean crops, formed by the inoculant HiCoat Super (Bradyrhizobium japonicum), formulated by high concentrations and the protector HiCoat® Super Extender (Bradyrhizobium japonicum), which protects and assures the survival of bacteria.
It is also offered by the fungicide Acronis® (pyraclostrobin + thiophanate-methyl) for the preventive control and healing of diseases, the polymer FloRite 1127 (a mixture of pigments that improve the plantability and the aspect of the seed), as well as the dye Color Coat Green.
For crops such as barley and wheat, a technological package composed by Color Coat Red is offered with the polymer FloRite 1197. Besides those, the maker highlights the fungicides Sistiva (fluxapyroxad), for prolonged protection against major diseases of this crop.
