India CIBRC 374th meeting approved 31 pesticide technical registrations, Endosulfan to completely banned

The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) approved 31 registrations of pesticide technical at the meeting of the Registration Committee on March 21, 2017, including 10 herbicides, 14 insecticides, 6 fungicides and 1 acaricide.

All 31 product registrations belong to the 9 (4) - "Me-Too” registration.

As to the holders, Agrico Organics, Excel Phosphates and Meghmani Group got the most 3 registrations respectively; and for product, Diafenthiuron and Glyphosate got the most 3 registrations respectively.

The Registration Committee decided on the meeting to send a communication to DAC&FW for issuing an appropriate notification for complete ban of Endosulfan for use/production in the country.
