ADAMA recently launched its latest rice fungicide Apropo in the Chinese market, having attracted attention from a large number of distributors.
Apropo, a 19 percent propiconazole+azoxystrobin SE, as imported, is the first propiconazole and azoxystrobin-based fungicide used for application on rice in China. The product is a mixture of the two kinds of active ingredients, which makes it stronger. It has high efficiency, a broad spectrum, strong systemicity and a long-lasting effect.
Moreover, the product has been developed through a scientific formula development process in ADAMA’s Research and Development Center in Israel and is manufactured via the advanced formulation production process. Its strong disease control capability, broad spectrum fungicidal function, strong systemicity and long-lasting effect provides good efficacy for the prevention, elimination and cure of rice diseases, such as rice sheath blight and rice false smut. It also has evident functions of enhancement of crop growth, crop yield and quality.
According to Kevin Cheng, chief executive officer (CEO) of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd., ADAMA has set up sales companies in 45 countries and its products have been sold in over 120 countries. Sales reached US$3 billion last year. After the acquisition by ChemChina, ADAMA has become the world’s sole multinational that is able to consolidate the pesticide resources of China and the world.
ADAMA’s launch of Apropo is the first introduction of the product in China. CEO Cheng said ADAMA is committed to the market release of new products every year.
