US EPA set time-limited tolerances for acetamiprid on sugar cane
Date:04-12-2017
The U.S. EPA has established time-limited tolerances for residues of acetamiprid in or on sugarcane, cane at 45 ppm and sugarcane, molasses at 600 ppm. This action is associated with the issuance of a crisis exemption under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) authorizing use of the pesticide on sugarcane.
In 2016, the EPA has issued a crisis exemption under FIFRA section 18 to allow the use of acetamiprid on sugarcane for control of West Indian canefly in Louisiana.
This regulation is effective April 10, 2017. The time-limited tolerances expire on December 31, 2019.
